Vice President Kamala Harris finds herself just under nine months away from Election Day 2024. While President Biden is the incumbent for the position, many wonder if he’ll even run, and if he pulls out, Kamala is getting ready to step into his shoes. An uphill battle if it happens, Harris ranks significantly worse than Biden’s already abysmal ratings. If she’s going to run for office, it needs to happen before the Democratic National Convention (DNC) concludes.
As Politico outlined, Harris needs three simple steps to happen for her to become the Democratic nominee.
- Biden Must Voluntarily Step Aside Before Democratic National Convention
- Delegates Nominate a New Candidate at the Convention
- Tie Lose Ends
These three simple steps are crucial for Harris and what she calls the “bubble.” A place where Biden and the rest of his campaign reside, they have been unwilling to consider new ideas, or that Joe might not be as re-electable as his yes-men keep telling him he is. Insiders with the Democrats claim that talks with Harris, by contrast, go smoothly and are more direct. So far, it has led many outside Biden’s bubble to push for Harris to take over at the DNC.
Focused on the abortion debate, Harris has essentially given up on the southern border, the very mission she was given by President Biden since day one. Unable to secure the border, or even provide ample officers and money for the wall, Harris has made Biden look like an even bigger fool than he does on his own. Especially as blue strongholds like Chicago and NYC are overrun by illegals.
Harris’ plans to be on the ticket will hand in the balance until the DNC is held, but she is doing everything she can to get herself in the right position for when Biden eventually pulls out. For Harris, this is a position she is far too familiar with ever since she was a San Francisco, California DA.
