In their article, the journalists claim that Trump is getting more support from different groups, like men, wealthy people, Muslims, and Jews, who feel pushed away by Harris and the Democrats. One sign that things are shifting is that more people are backing Trump’s immigration plans, making Harris change her position.

A big reason people are noticing Trump more is his recent interview with Joe Rogan, which got over 20 million views in less than a day. During the interview, they talked about sensitive topics like the JFK files. Meanwhile, Harris had a tough time answering questions during a CNN town hall with Anderson Cooper.

Harris’s closing argument to voters sounds desperate. She’s calling Trump a fascist and saying he sympathizes with Hitler. But many voters aren’t taking her seriously. Polls show more Black, Latino, and young male voters plan to vote for Trump than in 2020.

Trump is also getting support from some Arab and Muslim leaders and is closing the gap among Jewish voters. Plus, he’s gaining backing from rich people like Elon Musk and Bill Ackman, many of them voted for Democrats or Biden.

While Shellenberger and Gutentag say the election could still go either way, they believe that even if Harris wins, she won’t have the support needed to push her progressive ideas. They think the 2024 election might show a significant change, with Republicans getting more support from people who don’t like the Democrats’ progressive policies anymore.
